The Distinguished Clubs Standards Advisory Committee will revise and update our Distinguished Practices and Indicators each year. We take their recommendations into consideration, which allows our criteria to have an updated and current application.

Dr. Aylwin Tai CCM, CCE (President, CMAA-China Chapter) Native of Hong Kong, received his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the University of South Australia in 2004. Dr. Tai also attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1979 and earned a B.S. in hotel management. The previous year, he received his B.A. in social science and M.A. in psychology from Wichita State University.

Dr. Tai is the founder of Volvo China Tour and Volvo China Open (1995), National Golf Club General Managers Conference (2000), Ladies Asian Golf Tour (2005) Club Management Association of America (CMAA) BMI China Education Program (2007) and Golf Club Management Committee (2016). He serves as senior advisor to China Golf Magazine, Hong Kong Golf Media Association, Asia Top 100 Golf Clubs and Hong Kong Club Managers Association. He has lectured at Shenzhen University, Shanghai Tongi University , Peking University and Sun Yat-Sen University on golf and event management. He is also a certified USGA course rater and introduced China’s National Handicap System, a computerized system designed to standardize golf handicapping throughout the country.
